Community Conversations
Heart of West Michigan United Way seeks to engage and inspire the community to create a shared vision for the future and set goals for collective action. To accomplish this work, United Way is engaging in multiple community conversations.
Â
Our hope is that these conversations will promote:
- Exploration of current community issues and conditions
- Collaboration through feedback that indicates community opinion
- Inspiration through promoting community involvement in finding a common solution
Conversations take many forms including face-to-face discussions, community input walls, and hard-copy or electronic surveys. Additionally, United Way is partnering with various community organizations who also hold community conversations. By sharing information, we can reach a larger portion of Kent County more efficiently without duplicating efforts.
