Project Blueprint

United Way's Project Blueprint is a leadership development program with the goal of increasing the number of ethnically diverse professionals providing volunteer leadership to the boards and committees of West Michigan nonprofit agencies. Since 1988, almost 800 young professionals have become Project Blueprint graduates. Their goals is deepening their community involvement by lending their expertise to West Michigan's nonprofits.

Program topics include:

  • reason for diversifying boards
  • cultural diversity
  • board member responsibilities
  • effective communication
  • mentoring and networking
  • group dynamics
  • fundraising

Benefits for Organizations: Project Blueprint can be a resource for nonprofit organizations as they work to enhance and diversify their leadership capacity.

We seek candidates exemplifying strong leadership qualities, who are also interested in expanding their role in nonprofit organizational development. Apply to be a Project Blueprint candidate or view a sample class schedule.
