"Stuff the Bus" stuffed our whole building!

Our Stuff the Bus community-wide collection drive was a wild success (we have entire rooms full of notebooks, pencils, rulers, crayons, glue, and more in our building today). We collected more than 37,500 donated school supplies, and we are still counting! Farmers Insurance, alone, collected over 25,000 items. To put this year's dedication and generosity into perspective, last year we collected a total of 11,000 items.

In addition to Farmers Insurance, 27 more local companies collected donations.  We have had volunteers from our Young Leaders Society, Farmers/Foremost Insurance, Miller Johnson and a group of MSU medical students have helped us unpack, sort, count, and repack many of the supplies. The supplies will go to our Schools of Hope sites (14 total) and 15 other local schools. Backpacks are being given to the Student Homeless Program and D.A. Blodgett-St. John’s.

You can find photos from the drive here.

THANK YOU so much to everyone who donated or volunteered and our amazing Volunteer Center staff!
