It's the most wonderful time of the year!
Workplace fundraising campaigns are starting, and we're excited. Whether you work at a small business, a major corporation, or even a non-profit organization, you can choose to show your commitment to social responsibility by participating in a campaign. Your gift, combined with the gifts of others, makes it possible for us to invest in community-wide issues that are crucial to helping families in West Michigan rise out of poverty. And, in return, we all benefit from a stronger and safer community.
Did you know?:
- More than 80 percent of the funds that we raise come from workplace fundraising campaigns.
- Most campaigns run for about 2 weeks, between September and Thanksgiving.
- More than 400 local businesses and organizations choose to run their own United Way workplace campaign each year.
- Workplace campaigns make it easy for employees to give! Through payroll deduction, a gift can be made at one time or in smaller increments over the course of a year.
We will kick-off the season with a community celebration in John Ball Park on September 16! Learn more about where the money goes, company campaigns, and check out our campaign toolkit for resources. If your company doesn't currently run a workplace campaign, there are other ways to give -- including online!
