Volunteer with our Young Leaders Society to sort and count items that were donated during our community-wide Fill the Cart collection drives! Throughout March, we're expecting more than 10,000 toiletries, socks, feminine products, infant care items, and other basic needs supplies to be donated to our annual Fill the Cart drive. All of the donations will all be dropped-off at Vander Mill Cider, and we need your help sorting, counting, and repacking the donations to be distributed across our community.
Road trip! Join our Young Leaders Society for a 90-minute Community Impact Tour. We'll travel to Arbor Circle and Migrant Legal Aid to take an in-depth look at mental health counseling, youth homelessness, wrap-around services, migrant workers, employment, and equity programs in our community.

The Kent County Tax Credit Coalition kicks off its 2017 tax season with an awareness event this Friday morning at LINC. Light refreshments will be served. The Coalition helps working individuals and families achieve economic success with free income tax return preparation and assistance with filing tax credit claims, including the Earned Income Tax Credit.
County and city officials will declare January 19, 2017 “Live United Day” in celebration of Heart of West Michigan United Way’s 100 year anniversary. In the spirit of United Way, volunteers and staff will be performing Acts of Kindness throughout the day -- and we encourage you to join in too!

United Way Young Leaders Society
In conjunction with Heart of West Michigan United Way’s mission to reduce poverty, United Way Young Leaders Society exists to ignite the passions and recognize the talents of young professionals to advance sustainable solutions in West Michigan.
100 volunteers will come together at The Equest Center in Rockford, a non profit organization that improves quality of life through equine-based therapy to physically, mentally and socially/emotionally challenged individuals. Their unique programs integrate academic, social and physical skills, using the horse as a catalyst.
We are pleased to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the 2017-18 fiscal year. Successful proposals will be granted funding to meet critical needs of individuals and families in Kent County in the areas of family stability, youth education, and financial security.
