Join Heart of West Michigan United Way in making Food from the Heart!
According to Feeding America’s Map the Meal Gap study, hunger threatens at least 1 in 8 people in our community. The need is even higher among children, with 1 in 5 considered food insecure, a condition that has serious implications for their immediate wellbeing and their long-term physical, cognitive, and social health.
On June 21, volunteers will assemble ready-to-prepare meals that will be distributed through Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank to food pantries across the county. In two 2-hour shifts, over 1,000 people will package 200,000 protein-enriched meals for local families.
REGISTRATION IS FULL. THANK YOU!
- Sign up for one of two shifts: 10am-12pm or 1pm-3pm.
- Groups are welcome & encouraged, but to allow for volunteers from across the community, we ask that group registrations do not exceed 12 individuals.
- Children 5+ welcome with adult supervision.
