VOLUNTEER SIGN UP

Friday, May 17, 2018

Operation United could not happen without the support of volunteers! There are a variety of ways to contribute your time.

Volunteer Teams

Volunteer teams will work on-site at the home of a veteran or current service member within Kent County. Project times may vary slightly, but plan for 9am-1pm. All teams should identify a Team Leader to serve as the main point of contact between your group and Heart of West Michigan United Way. A Site Leader will be present at each home to provide direction, safety instruction, and manage tools, equipment, and project materials.

Site Leaders

A Site Leader will be present at each home to provide direction, safety instruction, and manage tools, equipment, and project materials. Site Leaders should have experience in minor home repair, yard work, and/or landscaping and will be placed at a project that matches their skillset. Site Leaders will be on site from 8:30am-1:30pm. A t-shirt and lunch will be provided.

Site Leaders will be required to attend one of two Site Leader Meetings on Thursday, April 18 at either 9am-10:30am OR 1pm-2:30pm.
