United Way Project Blueprint is a leadership development program with the goal of increasing the number of ethnically diverse professionals providing volunteer leadership to the boards and committees of West Michigan nonprofit agencies.
This free program offers the opportunity to learn about leadership, diversity, and board membership for young professionals interested in deepening their community involvement. Since 1988, more than 800 young professionals have become Project Blueprint graduates. Project Blueprint is helping on all fronts – attracting young people to our community and helping to increase diversity – by preparing young, ethnically diverse leaders to serve on nonprofit boards in our community.
2014 Project Blueprint Update
United Way is evaluating the Project Blueprint program to ensure it is meeting the current needs of nonprofit organizations in our community. We will be contacting recent graduates for input as well as the nonprofit community for suggestions and guidance for improving the program. Once this assessment is complete, we will advise on the timing for our next Project Blueprint class. The program is not being cancelled but rather being evaluated for improvement. For any questions, please contact Rich Liberatore, firstname.lastname@example.org.
