Day of Caring: September 13, 2019

United Way’s Day of Caring is our community’s largest corporate volunteer event. Every September, hundreds of employees from companies across Kent County “report to work” at local nonprofit agencies. This annual event helps organizations get things done – things that they may not have the day-to-day capacity to do throughout the year. Projects range from marketing and design advice to landscaping, donation sorting, tree-planting, and more.

Day of Caring is a great way for your workplace to have fun, build morale, and make difference in a visible way. This event is free to workplaces running United Way campaigns and participation includes lunch and a Live United t-shirt for all volunteers.

We also host a large project that is open to the public.

9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.          Morning Volunteer Projects
11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.          Volunteer Luncheon (open-house) at Boys and Girls Club of Grand Rapids’ Steil Club
1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.            Afternoon Volunteer Projects
