Help steer an elementary student towards academic success!

High school graduation is one of the most powerful predictors of a young person's future success.  Research shows that students who do not read proficiently by the end of third grade are four times more likely to leave school without a diploma.

Volunteers are required to attend one two hour training session and must clear both Michigan State Police and Child Abuse and Neglect background checks.  A valid driver's license or other photo I.D. is required to complete the training.

Share time as a Volunteer Reading Tutor!  Two people may share their volunteer role with a student to reduce the weekly time commitment.
