Jill started working at Heart of West Michigan United Way (for the second time) in October 2016 (Jill also worked in Resource Development here from 2000-2006).
What Jill does at United Way: Lead strategic efforts to create lasting relationships and generate the necessary financial resources for United Way to accomplish our mission.
What Jill did before United Way: I was VP of Business Development & Marketing at Springthrough, Senior Director of Alumni Relations & Annual Giving at Grand Valley State University, Industrial Engineering & Operations Management at UPS, and I earned my MBA and BBA at Grand Valley State University.
What Jill does when she isn’t working: Family (including our pups) is a priority for me. I like spending time Up North, almost any outdoor activity, and riding my Harley. I am also a beach & water lover!
Issue Jill is most passionate about: Access to opportunities in order to secure a good and sustainable life. We address this by valuing all people, understanding what poverty means, how it impacts people and families, and focusing our work on reducing poverty in this community. I am also an advocate for appropriate, fair and loving treatment for all animals.
