Volunteering To Go makes it easy for workplace teams, community groups, and families to support local nonprofits through meaningful, hands-on service projects.
Our kits are developed in response to needs identified by nonprofit partners across West Michigan. United Way coordinates the project, provides guidance, and connects the completed kits with organizations that can put them to immediate use.
Projects and kit contents may vary based on current community needs and supply availability.
Examples include:

Kits may include affirmation cards, wellness journals, mental health resources, calming activities, and other supportive items.

Encourage early learning while helping young children build confidence and excitement around education.
Kits may include books, educational games, reading activities, and tools that support social-emotional learning.

Provide convenient, nutritious food for children, families, and other neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
Packs may include shelf-stable snacks, fruit, protein items, hydration supplies, and other foods requested by local nonprofit partners.

Provide practical essentials for neighbors experiencing housing instability, displacement, or other urgent challenges.
Kits may include personal-care products, hygiene supplies, reusable bags, water bottles, and other everyday necessities.
