Heart of West Michigan United Way’s VITA program provided free tax preparation for over 9,000 households last season, returning $9.1 million in refunds to families across Kent, Ottawa, and Allegan counties. With the help of 208 trained volunteers, VITA ensures low-to-moderate income families keep more of their hard-earned money while receiving friendly, reliable service.
